File Name Completion (Tab Key)The system menu contains the Attributes... option, as below :-
When selected will display the Attributes window containing the Tab tab, as below :-
Short or Long Tabs
The Tab key will expand an incomplete path, file, command or macro name, that is currently being entered at the WinOneŽ prompt.
Short Tabs will find the longest sequence of characters, from all the matching names, that are identical. The characters found are then added to the end of the expanding name. Typically, each Tab press may result in only a small number of characters being added to the expanding name, so that, the name is still 'short' a few characters. In general, Short Tabs require a combination of both Tab and character key presses in order to fully expand a name.
Long Tabs will cycle though all the matching names (in alphabetical order). Each Tab press results in a full name being substituted, hence the name 'Long Tabs'. In general, Longs Tabs require several Tab key presses (to cycle though the matching names) before the required match is found.
Automatic Directory Listing
When this feature is enabled (for Short Tabs only), then each Tab press will also display a short directory listing which contains a list of all the matching names found. A small tick is displayed next to the option text when this feature is enabled, otherwise no tick appears next to the option text when this feature is not enabled.
Automatic Upper or Lower Case Mapping
When this feature is enabled, then expanding names will be mapped to either upper case or lower case characters, depending on whether Caps Lock is on or off. When Caps Lock is on, then expanding names are mapped to upper case characters, otherwise, expanding names are mapped to lower case characters. When this feature is not enabled then the characters are not mapped to either upper or lower case characters. A small tick is displayed next to the option text when this feature is enabled, otherwise no tick appears next to the option text when this feature is not enabled.
